Today we’re hitting one of the most basic tests of strength – how much weight can you pick up off of the floor?  It’s a day to come in fired up, to get ready to be aggressively tight and just as aggressive towards the barbell.  You’ll have plenty of time to warm up and lock in solid form before you start hitting heavy singles.  Get pumped – this is going to be fun.

STR:

Deadlift
1 rep max

WOD: (see 11/18/13)

21-15-9
Wallballs (20/14)
Toes to bar

DL: 255# ugh (265 is my 1RPM, and today I did two singles at 270#… but form wasn’t there)

    WOD: 8:13 Rx

My toes to bar are SLOW, but at least I have them now.

  2. Olivia says:

DL: 245#, a far cry from my 1RM of 270#. Got 265# an inch off the ground, but no dice.

WOD: 3:33rx. Wall balls get easier every time I do them. I’m even about to take them off my list of most hated movements…

  3. Jesse says:

DL: 365# Torn hands, so grip is limited.

    WOD: 3:29

  4. Lydia says:

    DL: 185#, 15# off my 1 RM.

WOD: 6:30 modified with 55# PP in place of the wallballs and knee ups.

There was awesome work in the 7:30 – several newbies and returnees along with old hands, but everybody pushed through the workout Fast. Inspiring stuff!

  5. Renee says:

    DL 205# … 10# under last summer’s 1RM of 215# … I feel stagnant in this movement

    WOD 5:35 Rx

  6. Rich says:

    DL: 355, 10# PR
    WOD: 4:11 rx
