I’m back!  …and it feels so good.Yesterday I saw a lot of great work on building stable shoulders in our ring support and supple shoulders with our kips and pass throughs.  We’re going to need both today as we test our 1 rep max snatch (keep in mind, the “squat” is implied…).  We’ve been building up to this for several weeks starting with the snatch grip behind the neck push press and building in complexity until we find ourselves here, with the full snatch.  Build as much tension as you can in your setup, keep that chest up and stay connected to the bar as you pull yourself underneath it.  There’s aren’t many things as beautiful as a well executed snatch… (see link below)

STR:

Snatch 1rm

WOD:

8 rounds
1 wall climb
5 power snatch (95/65)
block sprint

Holiday Schedule: We will not be running any classes on Monday (Labor Day) but will have open gym from 10am-12noon if you’d like to come in and get some work done!

Snatch: 105# squat snatch, 115# power. 10# off my 1RMes for each movement.

WOD: 9:20rx. This was up my alley, though the first half of the block “sprints” turned into “recovery jogs” since the wall climbs and power snatches were such hard-hitting movements.

    Snatch: 150# PR
Up from 115 in February. WUT. I guess I got something dialed in.

    WOD: 12:41 @ 75#
    Last in the door WOO!
