I wanted to take today’s post to express something that I’m extremely grateful for. Â The community at CrossFit Somerville is one of a kind. Â It’s something that I’m not only proud to be a part of but that makes me smile every day of my life. Â From the supportive nature everyone shows to fellow members to the local community engagement to the urban agriculture initiatives to the smart way you all approach training, I look forward to work every day. Â Not only do I feel like I’m in the best CrossFit gym there is, I don’t think I could ever work at another one. Enjoy the holiday and thank you all!

What a better way to say “thanks” thank via the snatch? Today during open gym some of us will be doing the following WOD: “Snatchgiving”. We will start the time promptly at 5:20pm!
Snatch on the following schedule and rest 2 min between rounds:
Round 1 – 6 reps EMOM 5 @ 50%
Round 2 – 4 reps EMOM 5 @ 65-70%
Round 3 – 3 reps EMOM 5 @ 75%
Round 4 – 2 reps EMOM 5 @ 80-85%
Round 5 – Heavy singles to 100% (no EMOM)
Optional cashout: HBBS to the song “Flower” by Moby. Whenever they say “bring Sally down” get in a squat. On “bring sally up” you stand up. You spend most of the song at the bottom of a squat. I will be doing this at about 30% tops…
