stringing it all together

A couple weeks ago we worked on cycling some of our barbell movements in WODs.  This week’s focus will involve cycling some of the other movements (that make sense to) and minimizing transition time from movement to movement.

Our WOD is one that has come up before.  Today, however, rather than repeating what we did in the past, we’ll be working on rebounding our box jumps.  Choose a box height (or agro box, or stack of plates) that will allow you to spring right back off the ground and atop your object every time.  While this might not always be the choice you make, prioritize it today, even if it means jumping on something much lower than you normally do.

STR:

overhead squat

3-3-3-3-3

focus: driving up constantly through the upper torso while the hips pull down to the bottom of the squat

WOD:

5 Rounds:
7 Power Snatches (75/55)
14 Box Jumps

focus: Box Jump height Rx is a height where rebounding is feasible; Rest at the top of the box jump if needed
