A lot has to happen right to be able to snatch heavy weight effectively.  Today’s triples won’t be touch and go. We’ll have the opportunity to reset after each rep, giving us the chance to see how consistent we are from rep to rep.  Use this feedback as you add weight, and be sure to spend time at lighter weight making sure you’re moving consistently before getting up to your max weights for the day.  Working out the details while the weight is controllable will allow you to quiet your mind on your later sets and focus on the sensations necessary to complete the lift.

STR:

CFF to CFSV 5k & BBQ!  We’re holding our 2nd running of the CrossFit Fenway to CrossFit Somerville 5k and Barbecue this Sunday, June 28th at Noon. This great cross-community event was a ton of fun last year, and I’m sure it will be again in 2015! We’ll be trying to run some carpools to Fenway at around 11:30 so no one’s car gets stranded!

Independence Day Weekend Schedule Update:classes will be canceled, and CrossFit Somerville will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd, 4th and 5th. We will be holding 1 session, a Invasion WOD Friday, July 3rd at 10 AM. Happy Birthday America!
