Working barbell movements every minute on the minute can feel rushed and they generally don’t allow us to get as heavy as we normally would.  Use this to your advantage today as we piece together our cleans.  The weights will be lower and we won’t really have time to add weight as we go, so see how you can improve with the load you start with.  Can you open your hips faster on the power clean?  Can you keep your rack positions tighter, higher and more supportive in the front squat?  And then can you put the two together any more smoothly when you do your full clean?

CFF to CFSV 5k & BBQ!  We’re holding our 2nd running of the CrossFit Fenway to CrossFit Somerville 5k and Barbecue this Sunday, June 28th at Noon. This great cross-community event was a ton of fun last year, and I’m sure it will be again in 2015! We’ll be trying to run some carpools to Fenway at around 11:30 so no one’s car gets stranded!

Independence Day Weekend Schedule Update:classes will be canceled, and CrossFit Somerville will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd, 4th and 5th. We will be holding 1 session, a Invasion WOD Friday, July 3rd at 10 AM. Happy Birthday America!
