While CrossFit workouts are supposed to be varied, they are by no means random – especially here.  We love to drill patterns and ideas in a class and then apply them directly to the WOD to see if we can transfer what we learned into a more intense situation.  Our hang squat cleans will ask us to drop fast under the bar to the bottom of our front squat.  This should also be happening in our squat cleans during Elizabeth, though often times when the clock starts we lose some of these finer points.  Keep the intentions you have for the strength portion consistent through the WOD and you’ll benefit even more from this workout.
