Yesterday we practiced applying our hollow position to our press to make sure we weren’t putting pressure on our low back.  While this doesn’t take a lot of strength, coordinating our muscles to work together without breaking this position can be tricky.

Today, we’re going to have more of a strength building approach to this position.  See the video below for a demo of “evil wheels” a great way to build strength in our hollow.  We’ll want to make sure that we don’t roll so far forward that we start to arch the back – keep your butt tight, ribs pulled in and your belly squeezed to support your spine.

STR:

OHS

5-5-5-5

WOD:

6 rounds
6 power snatches (115/85)
6 evil wheels
6 l leg pistols
6 r leg pistols

Schedule Update:

We will be not be running classes on Monday, October 12th in observance of Indigenous People’s Day.  Stay tuned for some open gym time!

    WOD: 17:24 w/ 45# (should’ve used 55#), hot mess wheels and ring-assisted pistols. A very odd workout.
