Come Together

14610955_10211308709016478_5213247545210721623_nSunday was an absolute blast here. Hillary’s fundraiser for Community Cooks brought in around $500 for that organization to continue doing good work in the area, and brought together a fun group of people for a good time on Sunday morning. Sure, there were the CFSV regulars, but there were also some folks from other CF boxes who drop-in from time to time, or just wanted to come join the fun and support a good cause.

If you’ve got a charity or a project or a passion, let me know and we can find a way to help. I want to help you change the world. In the big picture, that’s why I built this place.

Speaking of which, after the charity WOD a few folks stuck around to get in a double-header. We reprised Open 14.3, which was a good chance to check in on how we’ve made progress. Open 14.3 is a great little 7 minute burner, and we’ve programmed it a few times over the years here because it is just such good design. Nelly kept her reps just about the same from November 2015… but she went from 45# to 75# on the barbell, and did her Toes-To-Bar RX this time! Quite an improvement!

Open Season will be on us before we know it. If you just like doing the weekly Open WODs in a group setting and seeing how you’re progressing, then don’t worry – the Open, like the spring, will roll around soon enough. But for those of you who have the passion to make a run at Regionals – or just see how much progress you can make between now and March – send me an email! I’ll be glad to work with you on your individual goals and plan of attack on preparing for the Open. After all, it’s only 4 months away…
