The Lesser Used

We’re filling up on less common movement today.  Our strength takes us overhead, working our split jerk.  We get less of this in general as it tends to be less applicable in WODs, but is still a very worthwhile movement to build up.  The WOD brings us some one arm kettlebell work as well as the push up’s lesser used cousin, the ring dip.  All in all, it’ll feel like it always does with a little spice to keep us on our toes.

STR:

Split Jerk

x2

WOD:

6 rounds

200m run

16 KB snatch (8L, 8R)

8 Ring Dips

Split Jerk: 115# (I used the same leg. Sue me).

WOD: 14:08, ring push-ups instead of ring dips

Form on the KB snatches got really ugly at the end and the dips got less dippy.

WOD: 12:47 @ 1pd KB swings, scaled ring dips
