Changing the object we lift can (and usually does) add all kinds of new challenge and value to common lifts.  We get to try this with the strict press today, using dumbbells instead of the usual barbell.  Expect this to max out lighter than your barbell press, and be ready for the overhead stability needs to shoot through the roof.  You upper body craves variety, and this is a great simple way to get it.

The WOD is a great example of how effective “simple” can be.  Certainly nothing fancy here – just a basic couplet that hits hard if you get after it.
