Changing the object we lift can (and usually does) add all kinds of new challenge and value to common lifts. Â We get to try this with the strict press today, using dumbbells instead of the usual barbell. Â Expect this to max out lighter than your barbell press, and be ready for the overhead stability needs to shoot through the roof. Â You upper body craves variety, and this is a great simple way to get it.
The WOD is a great example of how effective “simple” can be. Â Certainly nothing fancy here – just a basic couplet that hits hard if you get after it.
