Retesting
If you’ve been paying attention to the blog, you know that I’ve been beating the drum for a while about how important it is to keep a journal or post to comments.
Today is another example of WHY: we’re retesting a workout today. You can see the blog from back on July 30 (for the 7/31 WOD) and once again notice our blog all-stars Niki, Eoin, Roger, and Josh posting their results. (If you’ve got a paper journal, that’s fine too!) Today is your chance to re-test this WOD and see if you can keep it going longer.
For those guys, keeping the Toes-To-Bar going for even one more round is going to be big improvement! How much better have your TTB gotten in the past 4+ months?
WOD:
5 Rounds for Time
20 Toes to Bar
5 Clean and Jerks (135/95)
WoD: 11:10 @ 115#. Admittedly, the TTB lasted about as long as the initial workout (1/2way through round 1), but I dropped 80 seconds total while adding 10# to the C&J, so definite improvement! Knowing my previous time (and scales) helped push me through it.
WOD: 16:50 (ish?) @ 75#. Did maybe 30 TTB total. Grip and kip fell all the way apart.
16:20 RX. Barf my face off.

17:23 @ 135#, two rounds of TTB, three rounds of toes-to-ring
Future goals:
– Get through the whole thing with toes-to-bar
– Do it faster
