Throw Back Tuesday

FRIENDOS!
We have a good one for you tomorrow. Disclaimer: I know this looks like it could be a Mel WOD but surprisingly this WOD was requested by Abigail and is a bit of a throw back wod! Just wanted everyone to know!
For time:
100  Thursters (95/65)
EMOM 5 burpee
Alright, team! How to approach this wod! The wod starts with 5 burpees then you go right into the thrusters. The weight is set to Fran weight! It should be something you can move pretty easily without thinking about it. When you begin chipping away at the Thrusters it will help to have a plan. We want to strategically break up our thrusters, maybe trying to hold onto 10-15 per minute in the beginning then, sets of 5 or more if you can after that. There is always the potential of the wheels coming off, in which case just hold on for dear life!
Ways to make this WOD possible:
Thruster weight: if 95/64 isn’t something you can move without thinking about, drop the weight down! Think 20 unbroken reps under fatigue as a reference point.
Burpees: if you are not a burpee ninja drop the number down to 3! Try to make sure you don’t get held up by the burpees, push through them and get right back on the bar!
Make me proud team! I’ll be by Tuesday evening to check in!
I know you will all crush this!

    Woohoo!

WOD in 2013: Got 88 reps in the 20-min time cap, and dropped weight from 35 to 15 somewhere in the middle. Thought I was gonna die on the gym floor.

WOD in 2018: 15:47 @ 45#. Switched from 5 to 3 burpees somewhere midway. Actually think I was a little conservative and could’ve squeezed in another thruster rep or two in each round. I’ll try again in another 5 years.

Thanks for suffering through this, guys!
