EMOM x2
The EMOM (“every minute on the minute”) format is coming in strong today! The goal of the first EMOM is to work on your explosive power in the clean. We’ll be using the clean pull as one tool to train this important skill, pairing clean pulls with hang power cleans. Although we’ll be recording our “numbers” on the board for this clean complex, today’s strength portion is not for max load — think of it as an opportunity to dial in your technique at a load that you can move consistently across the 10 minutes.
Our second EMOM continues on the theme of “explosive power” with box jumps, burpees, and toes to bar. Find a rhythm in this workout that allows you to have a solid 20-30 seconds of rest between movements!

I loved this book. Her intelligence, sense of humor and unflinching honesty are refreshing for a celeb memoir. The California town where she grew up is just a couple miles down the road from me and was still overwhelmingly white until very recently, and her descriptions of sticking out in the crowd were not exaggerated. I also annoyed the heck out of my friends talking about it, especially the yeast infection story
