Two Couplets

A couplet—the pairing of two functional movements—is a classic CrossFit workout format. Today, we’re mashing together two couplets that would be quick and dirty enough on their own… but will pack an even more powerful punch together.

Equipment for today will include one weighted object (whatever you have at your disposal, like a dumbbell, kettlebell, or water jug) and a box/bench/ledge to jump onto or step onto.

You’ll start with a three rounder of alternating single arm snatches and burpee box jumps/step-ups. When that is complete, rest one minute. Then, move directly into another three rounder– this time consisting of single arm push presses and pistol/deck squats.

Your score will be the TOTAL time it takes to complete the two couplets (including the 1 minute rest).

Recommended Warm-up:
10 minutes @ warm-up pace:
10 air squats
10 spiderman stretch (alternating legs)
10 push-up to down dog
10 single arm DB/KB snatch high pulls (5R, 5L)

WOD:
3 rounds
20 alt. single arm snatches (with a KB/DB/object)
10 burpee box jumps/step-ups

Rest 1 min, then:

3 rounds
20 single arm push presses (10R, 10L)
10 pistol squats or deck squats

No answer claims my stoic clock:
Only this, it’s plain report, eleven zero seven.

    16:44 with a 35#KB.

For the sake of honesty, I only did 10 total snatches per round in the first WOD because 10 per arm were not happening with the KB I had haha. I also did burpee box step-ups

For WOD #2 I did all of the push-presses and pistol squats to a box.

    This was a good one!
