Climb for Hope is this weekend! Get excited! If anyone is able to donate to the Crossfit Somerville team, it will go to a great organization and to some very needy children! http://www.imathlete.com/donate/CrossfitSomerville
nancy: 19:27 @ 55#. lots of amused morning commuters! solid work by strong 6:30am-ers.
have fun everyone on sunday! weather this weekend looks unstoppable.
No Nancy, HBBS 5-5-3-3-1-1-1 instead. I hit 285#, feeling good, but failed twice at 305#.
I’m doing some extra training to get ready for an event at the end of May. Back squat, deadlift, and press, three attempts at each. Here’s the link for anyone who’s interested. I think it’ll be a lot of fun.

Sounds great. Good luck with your training and I wish you the best. Since you’ll be going for max effort lifts, I would strongly recommend you use wrist wraps (for the press) and a belt (for everything) if you don’t already. I can lend you mine.
Kind of a good news/bad news thing: my 1rm on the press is so bad it doesn’t really put any strain on my wrists.

4/26/13 – 19:08 (HBBS @ 145#)
Although it’s a faster time, I’m not sure if this is progress since I did a different movement…DAMN WRIST!
Great noon class today. I was ecstatic to see a full house. There’s no better way to motivate yourself than to get lapped multiple times by everybody! 😀
I hurt my wrist a couple of weeks ago, and got wrist wraps, too – helpful. How long has your wrist been acting up? I am surprised mine has not healed yet…
I injured my wrist while attempting a new 1RM clean on 4/2. I missed it and the bar hyper-extended my left hand back. Marcos experienced the same injury before and he said it took about 3 months to heal…I just gotta be more patient :/

OHS are starting to feel like they suck less. More workouts with running please! 🙂
Nantzy- 14:56 Rx. Great success! Strong work at both the FIve and Six.
Ask Fuzzy MIke about his built-in basting brush.
Nancy: 12:13 Rx!

I wasn’t going to OHS but I am glad I did. Beat my time and weight on this from August when I did 25# in 16:31 Slow progress on OHS and shoulder/lockout mobility but progress nonetheless.
