This cycle is all about our pullups and our squat cleans. Maximum power generation happens from the inside outward, and effective power application requires solid midline engagement. Those things are true today, too, for our Power Cleans and a FAST series of 5 sprint workout intervals. Veteran CrossFitters will recognize the format of “The Chief”, a classic (and personal favorite of mine), but we’ll be swapping out 6 pushups for 3 pullups this time to line up with our overall training goals for the cycle.

AMRAP 3 x 5
3 Power Cleans (95/65)
3 Pull Ups
9 Air Squats
* rest 1:00 between rounds
* Start over each 3 min AMRAP
