We’re combining two classic CrossFit “girls” today – Karen (150 wall balls for time) and Isabelle (30 snatches for time).  This combo will feel much different than either on their own.  Both are monostructural in nature, so a big part of them is finding a flow and hanging on as long as possible (except when Isabelle gets heavy…).  While 150 wallballs seems like a lot, 5 at a time is much more manageable. We’ll be working on keeping the very beginning of our snatches tight and clean with some snatch deadlifts for strength.  Locking this in early will save your back when you’re deep into this WOD.

The Battle for Bosteros!

JP CrossFit, CrossFit Boston , and CrossFit Somerville are partnering to bring you the most fun community-building CrossFit event this side of the Narrow Sea! Behold—the Battle for Bosteros!

In this three-day event, teams of three will come together to complete WODs at each of the three gyms: Friday night at JPCF, Saturday at CrossFit Somerville, and Sunday morning at CrossFit Boston. After the competition is over, we’ll have a BBQ to celebrate Sunday afternoon!

But here’s the fun bit—your team of three will be made up of one person from each gym! You’ll be making new friends while WODing alongside old ones, celebrating functional fitness and the summer.
