Week 2: Deadlift Day!
As the final “test” at the start of our new cycle, today we’ll be establishing a 1RM for your Deadlift! This is a big day, and one where you’ll need to make sure you’ve got your whole spinal column warm, braced, and ready to hold steady as you drive the most weight possible off the ground. This is your biggest lift, and we’re taking it as high as it goes today!
That 1RM attempt is going to be the primary focus – and I hope you all end up a little short of breath and starry-eyed after your max attempts… but before you leave we’ll get your heart racing with a sprint WOD to put a bit of bounce back in your step. Don’t dawdle in it, and pick a weight you can move well. I want to see you finish this WOD in less than 8 minutes.
