PR CITY
Last night a really nice thing happened. FOCUS.
I noticed more and more pieces falling into place on a very technical lift and I’m happy to see the progress you’ve all made. In particular, I am definitely calling out Will. He PR’d his clean last night @ 185#. That’s about 40+ lbs. over body weight for that kid. Great work Will I was amped to see you nail that.
In short, never ever sell yourselves short. Everything you are doing in here pays dividends, and and it shows in many many ways.
Strength: Press 5-5-5
WOD:
3 Rounds
20 Goblet Squats
15 Knees to Elbows
Thanks, Yosh! I wouldn’t have gotten that without your encouragement.
Congrats, Will! Awesome!
congrats will! that’s fantastic.
press: 65#
wod: 4:03 Rx. Goblet squats are kinda sneaky!
Really enjoyed class today – great start to the day – thanks Mandy and 5:30 crew. Got a new max for the press (50#) and since I hadn’t accomplished anything notable lately, I am happy about that. Successful 5 rep press was 45#, and WOD was 5:54. I agree about the goblet squats, Cal – sneaky is the right word!
if you show up and work hard, that’s notable, even if you don’t have numbers you want to show off 🙂
**like button** 🙂
First day back in a week-and-a-half. Tried to go slow and light since I still don’t know what is going on with my body. Pressed 60# and it felt pretty easy. (I have some “well rested” muscles right now, unlike the rest of you!) WOD 7:30 with 16kb and some really sad knees-to-elbows (was trying *not* to use my kip because that seemed dicey on the shoulder).
The unexpected worst part of taking time off was when I realized my calluses were going away.
Shoulder/rib/whatever isn’t super happy with me right now, but it’s also feeling pretty manageable. 🙂 I think at this point its just swelling that needs to go away (and not ribs abandoning ship). I’m really really hoping I can be done resting and can just “go easy” and modify as necessary for a week or two to get back into things.
Will, that rules.
