Hitting your Targets
It’s a new year and one thing that I know is on your mind is how to hit your targets this year. We’re happy to help you make a plan to get there in the 6-month+ time frame, but equally important is making a plan for how you’re going to hit your targets in each day’s training.
Today’s WOD gives you a good chance to do just that. We’ve set the meters such that getting to 4 rounds is absolutely achievable if you haul ass. At a 2:00 pace for 250m (or 2:30 pace for 200m), you’ll have 30 seconds to transition off, slam out 10 burpees, and get back on the rower. That’s a nice easy pace for our stronger rowers, and if you’ve got juice on your burpees that might be a good plan. Alternately, if you tend to struggle on burpees maybe the better plan is to hit the row with all you’ve got and allow yourself a bit more time to get through those.
Be aware of the transition time and the pace you need to keep on both movements. After all, having a plan and doing your best to stick to it is how you’ll hit your goals!
