New Digs

Scared ya for a second? Nope not us.

BUT!

Our friends over at CrossFit Fenway have opened the doors to their new facility located on 100 Brookline Ave. I was there yesterday and the space is beautiful. If you are ever over by the area, be sure to stop in and say hello/congratulations. They all have been working really hard to get this location open and I couldn’t be happier for them. Truly nice work, guys!

 

 

For today’s WOD, if not using the RX’d weight, I still want you to scale to a heavy back squat. These should be challenging since we will be taking them from the racks. I want everyone to go a little out of their comfort zone with this one. Dig deep!

 

Also, just a quick housekeeping reminder: When using the equipment let’s please remember to wipe off anywhere we leave our DNA. This includes barbells, kettlebells, abmats, wallballs etc. Part of the discipline of CrossFit is making sure we take care of our toys. Thanks, guys!

    DL at 125# for my last set of 10 and 15.

    WOD: 8:07 at 105# and 24″. Holy shite that was interesting. Those squats were a lot harder than I thought they’d be!

    DL: #165, felt good. Wanted to get to #150, was feeling good but too shy for #175, should have gone for it.

    WOD: 12:52, or 12: 32, I dont remember. RX. I fucking AMPED to get it RX, but it took me forever.

    Also, I had to walk my bike home, couldnt feel my legs. Its cool.
    Shout out to Jaimie, who WENT BIG TONIGHT!!! Brava.

    I don’t usually post my numbers, but what the hell…I’ve got a big PR to report today, so here goes.

    Deadlift max = 95#
    WOD = 7:45ish, 85#, 20″ box

    My PR is that for the first time, I did 100% of the box jumps the “real” way – in the past I’d resort to step-ups at least 75% of the time. This is shaping up to be a really awesome week! Thanks to everybody for all of the encouragement.

    I was scared all day long due to my (former) paralyzing fear of the box jump. Special thanks to Erin for the pre-workout pep talk! And well done on your workout!

    DL: 100# for last 2 sets
    WOD: 8:08 90#; box jumps on green box; Box jumps are all mental with me! I am getting in my own way!
