12 Days of Christmas WOD – Sunday 12/15/19

This Sunday 12/15 we are doing a version of the 12 Days of Christmas WOD at CFSV.
There will be 12 exercises total and like the song the “12 Days of Christmas,”  you complete each exercise in ascending order then work back down to 1, adding one exercise per round. Like this: 1, then 2-1, then 3-2-1, then 4-3-2-1, etc. – all the way to 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 – for a total of 364 reps.
The WOD is fun and any of the movements can be scaled or substituted.
We are doing this work out to raise money for the Somerville Homeless Coalition. Every year they send me a “wish list”  for a several adults and children experiencing homelessness in our neighborhood. (Because not everyone can afford a $1.7 million dollar 300 sq. ft “luxury condo” with no kitchen or bathroom in the heart of Union Square- know what I mean?) This year the list includes : comforters and bedding, shoes, jackets etc. Each year we also try to get a cart full of “stocking stuffers” – stuff that helps folks get through the winter a bit easier – gloves, hand warmers, snacks, small gift cards to Dunkin’ Donuts etc.
If you felt like donating; we will be accepting cash donations to fulfill the ” wish list” and a collecting any small stocking stuffers.
A donation is 100% not necessary to come and work out!  We will have some beers (and cider, Zima/ White Claw or whatever the hell JT drinks) and snacks to hang out afterwards. Come on down!
Doors open at 10, WOD starts around 10:30.
It’s my joy to know and work out with so many of you. You all make CFSV the weird, wonderful place it is. (If you exercise before noon, we have likely never met. I’m just not that ambitious.)

    I’m hoping to come and bring some of my family: husband? (maybe not on a weekend), daughter?(hopefully!).

    Do we know which 12 exercises we are doing and in what order?

    hello! We don’t know yet, we haven’t finalized. It may involve bars or may be more body weight work if we get a big crowd!
