A Marathon of Our Own

Hi guys! I have met you morning folks and a few of you on Saturdays but I’d like to formally introduce myself via the blog! I’m just subbing in for Yosh on the blog this week so you’ll get a chance to get to know me and I hope to do the same with all of you! I have been CrossFitting for just over two years now and am completely hooked, in love, obsessed. My friends call it OCD: Obsessive CrossFit Disorder, but I call it a passion. Whatever it is to you, be it a hobby, a place to relax, or a place to kick your butt, I hope to help you enjoy your experience even more.

Today is a special day for our neighbors across the river in Boston (hint: it’s the Boston Marathon!), so we’re going to celebrate with a marathon of our own. One of my absolute favorite aspects of CrossFit is the ability to abolish stereotypes and to embrace the unfamiliar. So who says a marathon has to be 26.2 miles? How about 26 rounds instead? No water stations or bibs with numbers on them here, just a fierce race to the finish.

Strength:

High Bar Back Squat 10-15-10-15

WOD:

“Marathon Monday”

26 rounds:

1 Wall Climb

1 Squat Clean (135#/95#)

Hbbs: set at 105 and then at 115.

Wod: 13:12 Rx. So much more bearable one at a time!

  3. Ben S says:

    185 for 10 / 15, then 190 for 10
    then WOD: 11:25 Rx
    then 190 for 15
    …not a sequence I’d recommend.
    great 6:30am class!
