No, not the drink!
“Marguerita” is a CrossFit “Girl WOD” unlike any other that we’ve done inside (or outside) the walls of CFSV…. because it’s 50 rounds.
But with only 5 reps in each round, you’ll be flying through the rounds. Each round consists of 1 burpee, 1 push-up, 1 jumping jack, 1 sit-up, then 1 handstand. Try to minimize transition times between movements; can you find your own sort of “flow state” here?
No weights or objects needed today, but do grab yourself a piece of paper for counting purposes — perhaps tallying off every 5 rounds. You’ll likely be working for somewhere in the domain of 16-25 minutes.
Here are a few handstand options/ideas:
- Free-standing handstand (looking at you, Erica M.!)
- Kick-up-to-wall handstand
- Wall walk
- Headstand
- Overhead press w/ dumbbells or a heavy object
Warm-up:
3 rounds
20 pike toe-touches (alt arm)
40 seconds of high knees or butt kickers
10 pass-throughs with a broomstick/belt/cane
“Marguerita”
50 rounds for time:
1 burpee
1 push-up
1 jumping jack
1 sit-up
1 handstand (see options above)

I’d need a more efficient space to be quicker, and I really appreciated the inefficency. I did hold some handstands without the wall. By the way, push up + jumping jack = burpee. I was not fooled.

I did push ups to a 16″ bench and subbed in a kettlebell press for the handstand because we temporarily have no free wall space in our apartment due to my quarantine induced reorganization project.
