Marching onward, masks optional
Hi Team! We’re back for another week of great programming – and as usual during the Open Season, our Friday “unknown and unknowable” isn’t just JT’s special surprise… it’s the CrossFit Open workout. None of us know what that will be yet, but the rest of this week’s programming is here.
On the COVID front: the City of Somerville removed its indoor mask mandate this weekend. Based on what we saw last summer and fall, demand for “mask-required” classes was practically non-existent, though a number of folks still preferred to work out on their own during the “Solo WOD” time slots.
For the time being, we’ll be back to “mask-optional” classes – wear one if you like, your coaches may as well, but it’s not a requirement. (Please continue to wear a mask in settings where it’s prudent.) We’ll trust to our ventilation systems, our more-often-open garage doors now that the weather is improving, and to our still-in-place vax mandate for all attendees.
As public health data changes we’ll stay on top of it – and of course we will continue to abide by local and state requirements. But for now, I’ll just be happy to see some of your faces at the gym this week!
