Midline, not geopolitics

Today is all about bracing that midsection to make sure we protect our spines and transmit force effectively from those big posterior chain muscles all the way to the weights. We’re going heavy on the kettlebells for the workout, which means we’ll just be popping those kettlebell swings up to eyeball height (instead of all the way overhead).

That move is traditionally called a Russian KB Swing, but given that Russia is over 530 days into a horrific invasion of Ukraine, costing human lives and destabilizing world politics, food, and energy markets… well, I’m just as happy to change up the name. For Thursday, the only stabilization you need to have on your mind is in your midsection.
