June Goals
I gotta say, I’ve seen some huge improvements lately from everyone and it’s really incredible. Everyone should feel great about the progress being made in here. With that being said, let’s keep up the intensity and take it to the month of June! Come check out where you’re at and let’s keep hammering down on those goals!
Strength
Hang Squat Clean 3-3-3-3-3
WOD
2 Rounds
50 Double Unders
40 Situps
30 Wallballs
20 Pull Ups
10 Pushups
Hang Squat Clean: 175#
WOD: 19:14 – 150 Single Unders, Green and Blue band for pullups. This was a tough one. Thanks to Mandy and Cal for pushing me in the last round.
the goals board is fresh and ready for new, june editions!
worked through some power snatches at 65# in prep for a team competition i’m in on sunday (see fenway’s blog post today for more deets)
wod: 12:03 Rx. I thought the wall ball were going to be the worst part. turns out the pull ups and the push ups really sucked the most!
also speaking of competition, the garage games are coming back to the northeast! CFNE hosted an event last year that i competed it, and it was tons of fun. it was my first competition and it’s great because they have an rx and a scaled division! you guys should all check it out and consider signing up! http://www.thegaragegames.com/events/new-england-firebreather-festival/
there’s also one a few weeks later in providence, similar with scaled, rx, and masters divisions: http://www.thegaragegames.com/events/cfp-eye-of-the-storm/
No WOD score for today, but a new June goal: 160# strict press. I went with a pure strength goal after failing (by 5#) the 155# snatch goal for May. After some superlative coaching from JT I finally got it through my relentlessly stubborn bull head that I really need to focus on specific elements of my snatch technique, and that just chasing more weight would be counterproductive. That in itself, though, made for a very productive May.
Hang Squat Clean – 60#
WOD: 14:40. I can already tell that I’m going to be feeling this tomorrow…
As for June goals I think I need to focus on technique…I’ll be out of town for work stuff the next couple weeks so I’ll have plenty of time to think about what I want to work on before I come back!
HSC: 65#
WOD: 14:12 singles and blue band
Love Alicia’s playlist!
