WOD: 14:47 @ ¾ pd. I had the opposite experience from Harry in that the kettlebell was more stable than dumbbell. I think I will go up to 1 pd next time.
This was a fun workout as well as being tough. I didn’t feel like I got an especially good workout yesterday, so I’m glad I went for the bonus today.
Yesterday was definitely more of a “technique” day, a good opportunity to work on Range of Motion, Flexibility, Speed, and Explosiveness. That said, if you ever want to get a little more work in, we’re always happy to throw a 45# plate on top of a box and let you rearrange our furniture for a while. ;D
Speaking of a little extra work – this Saturday I plan on doing some landscape renovation in the back yard. I will be swinging a pickaxe and breaking up asphalt and rocks, and would LOVE to have any of y’all in for company! If you’d like to show up at 9am, I plan to be doing a pre-WOD-work-party. Think of it as your warmup… or think of it like I do: excavate the property FOR TIME.
I’m out of WODs but I’ll be there. I’ll probably plan out a route for a 5 – 6 mile run to happen after that if anyone feels like joining me who wants to help excavate but is out of WODs.
Damn girl – you’re a strong one – right on! Great to see you and Jaime – that was so cute you two wiping eachother’s backs after class. I had all dudes – unless you count cal but she was interning… no back wiper … tear ;-P
I already feel disgusting going to the Independent covered in sweat – I figured I could get rid of the floor that was sticking to my back! I really clean up when I go out 🙂
Turkish Delight! 6:30Am Class is no joke! Better than coffee!
worked at 15#, 20#, 25# during skill time
wod: 10:14 with 20# dumbbell for the awkward dumbbell dance
13:47 for the wod, with 15#. i was struggling this morning!
did anyone find my keys? they’re on a long blue lanyard… i might have left them on the bus 🙁
I thought KBs would be easier to hold than dumbbells, but my arm was more stable and didn’t move as much when I did these with the dumbbell.
WOD – 11:40 @ 25#
Good job 530a. It was fun.

I would join you for a little yard work, but I will be paddling in Maine this weekend. C’est la vie!

I know why – cuz it’s gross and we both were planning on going home to shower the floor remnants off our backs – ;D
16:21 with 10# dumbbell and 14# ball slams.
Amazing job, Dynamo Dunn!
