    wod- 18:27 (1 pd, 20″, blue band), deadlifts- 145# that was not easy- definitely a heat, humidity and insufficient hydration combo 🙂 thanks for the awesome workout KP, i’ll work on those rebounding box jumps!

    Deadlifts = 155#
    WOD = 14:27 using a green band for pull-ups. Way too many singles of those, but Amos and I came up with a plan to change that. We will report back!

    And now on to non-WOD related business: I’m having a BBQ at my house in Somerville (15 minute walk from the box) this Saturday at 4PM. Any and all Crossfitters are welcome! AND there will be a bonus MEAT RAFFLE (and a veg raffle too!). Yes, you heard me right. All proceeds will benefit the SAMFund for young adult survivors of cancer (www.thesamfund.org). If you think you can make it and want details, email me at lara.petrak@gmail.com or find me on The Facebooks. I hope to see lots of you there on Saturday!

    DL: 285#. Stuck here: whenever I load 295#, I can’t budge it off the floor, which suggests to me that I’m just *done* by my fifth set, so maybe I should start heavier.

    WOD: 11:07 @ 1.5pd. First 4 sets of pullups unbroken. All box jumps unbroken but with varying levels of rebounding/resetting. The goblet squats seemed like torture when I was looking at the bell on the ground, but all of my sets were unbroken. And, of course, lots of staring at the floor trying to catch my breath. 🙂

    Good job, 7pm!

    DL: 315# PR. This is only 10# off my 1RM, so it may be time for another attempt at that soon.

    WOD: 10:53 (I think?) Rx. This is probably the worst I’ve felt after a workout in a while. Ran out of breath and needed way too much recovery time between movements. I was able to do the pull-ups unbroken, but failed miserably attempting butterflys in round 1.

    Way to kill it Nick.

  5. DL = 105#

    WOD = Maralene gave me 1.5 pd I believe by mistake but I went with it. One of these days I won’t fail at cleaning it up into my cradling hands. Getting 1.5 pd into my hands was the rate determinant for me here. But it was fun/funny I was getting under it, propping a leg up onto the box.. haha good times. Used a green band for pull ups BECAUSE IT MATCHED. (jk – that’s the one I needed for ten – mostly – unbroken…) 10:45 … God I love when there are box jumps. ALL OF THE BOX JUMPS.
