Wounded Warrior Project
On September 22, 2012, the Boston Soldier Ride will take place to help benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Soldier Ride is a unique four-day cycling opportunity for Wounded Warriors to use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental, or emotional wounds. The rides are exhilarating and a great way to help warriors gain confidence and realize you can do this!
Volunteers are needed, and our own Jaime Bailey as well as Alicia Dunn, are participating at a few of the water stops along the course.
To learn more about Soldier Ride, you can visit: http://www.soldierride.org
If you want to volunteer, you’ll need to sign up with the Boston Warrior outpost here: https://mycarecrew.lotsahelpinghands.com/c/658503/login/?logout&language=en

WOD – 15 rounds RX.
Good job 530a. Have a good weekend everyone.
I liked The Chief.
17 rounds @ 65#. Used i-box for the push-ups, which were ugly.
If I were to do it over again, I’d have moved faster to try for 4 rounds in each segment. It’s tough to get motivated to do more reps when you know you won’t be able to finish the round by the end of the 3 minutes. Next time!
Nicely done, 5:30! Happy Friday.
i’m with lara on this one — today was fun! (and hai, KP and 6pm-ers!) ‘the chief’ was tough but it’s very manageable and the structured chunks are a great mental way to divvy up everything.
WOD: 17 rounds (4/4/3/3/3) @ 85#. by the last bits, it was a good conservative estimate to allow for 1 min/round, then savor some cushion for the end when exhaustion sets in (in my case, about the 3rd or 4th pushup per set). i think i can try for 95# or 105# next time power cleans come around in a WOD. confidence++
nice high bar for mandy to set for ‘beat the coach’ 🙂 anyone do it???
WOD: 18 @ 115# and situps instead of air squats. Exact counts were: 4+1 4+2 4 3+8 3+9
Nice to finally meet KP. Good work, 6pm!
