First off I want to congratulate Coach KP on her very first CrossFit competition, as well as Cal and Shorty, all of which were at te Garage Games this past weekend. I’m sorry I could not be there but I know you guys killed it! Pictures to come!
Secondly, Thanks to everyone who came out and supported me yesterday at the New England Weightlifting Championships. I had an absolute blast and I couldn’t have done it without all of your support and well wishes. It was a great afternoon and I did pretty well for my first competition. Placed Second in my weight class (69kg) with a finishing Snatch at 78kg (171.6 lbs) – I Snatched 87kg (191.4 lbs) but it wasn’t counted due to a slight press out. And a finishing Clean and Jerk of 112kg (246lbs). I then found out that I missed qualifying for Nationals by one lift! I am pretty fired up. But without all of you there’s no way I would have done as well. Thank you. A big shout out to Rome (my friend and coach) and Gary Valentine. Congrats to Rome for winning his weight class and thank you for having me be one of your athletes. Gary, without you today I’m sure things would not have gone as smoothly. You’re an awesome coach and I look forward to working with you again.Strength

Jaime & I had high hopes for those Pink Deep V-Necks but we had some technical difficulties and probably a service order or two for some printers at Staples – ooops… We’re working on getting the original design printed so there will be more Pink Deep V-Necks in the future for Crossfit Somerville!

Hit the big 200# mark on my deadlifts tonight! It was more like 2 reps then 3, so I guess I really only had 185# for 5, but I’m taking the PR!
WOD: 3 + 14 @ 65#, T2B, 20″… got some extra T2Bs in there because I’ve been trying to get better about reps with integrity, but I didn’t like it one bit.
