Week 2/Day 1 Hatch Squat Cycle
WOD: 4:55 Rx
This WOD was made for me. Great job 5:30!
were you a spider monkey in a previous life?
i gave him the finger when he called time and i was just starting my set of 5 rope climbs. if he jumps, he can make it up there in one jump and one pull. NOT FAIR FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE π

Happy Birthday lil miss Ariana!
was that your bf…. birthday friend?! π
Yes nd thank u! He did so good haha. Props to an almost rx on the first CF wod ever
Press: 60# for 3, 65# for new 1RM. The scaling for rope climbs was an effective way to get experience hanging and gripping. I have now been doing Crossfit for a year! I would have thought that after a year of this, I would no longer hate getting up at 5 am. Not so.
happy anniversary!!!! what a milestone. you’ve come so far, it’s been fun being able to work out with you and seeing your progress!!
Thank you!!
okay, it didn’t count on the clock, but i managed to do my very first rope climb! *golf clap* it’s certainly high up there.
press: my trusty ol’ 85#. molasses-slow but happening.
WOD: 5:46 @ rope hangs, 24kg. where are those thigh-warmers when you need them?
(definitely not here: http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/5593694/il_fullxfull.205724992.jpg)
Press: 160# PR
WOD: 10:07 Rx
I felt a lot more confident with rope climbs this time around. Hopefully I can start implementing the “J-hook” technique soon.
Kudos to Nicole for Rx’ing this WOD considering she has never rope climbed before!
Seriously, wear your long socks today. Rope burns are no fun.
Press: 77# with some questionable form…
WOD: 6:57 with 1pod + 5 rope climbs/36 rope hangs. Felt like a baby when I quit the rope climbs to save my shin. That’s one nasty rope burn. Looking forward to another rope climb day, so I can crush it… π
Hilary – Happy Anniversary! I’m impressed!
Oops, sorry for the name-mispell Hillary!
Yes!! It was a tough one, but i finished!! My legs and arms are starting to feel it. Thanks yosh and Dan for the motivation π
Press: 125#
WOD: 6:32 Rx, no jumping starts.
Press: 125#, 1 rep at 135#
WOD: 8:30 Rx, no jumping. Even wearing pants AND long socks, I still managed to get a mild rope burn on my shin. I must be doing something wrong.
Press: 125# for two reps
WOD: 9:54 Rx. Too much arms, not enough legs on the rope. I have a burn on the back of my knee, looks like its tights next time.
Or maybe the J-hook instead of the regular grip?
