Hey guys,
If you haven’t already, you should sign up for the 2013 CrossFit Open. This is going to be a 5 week long competition that will take place each weekend either here at our own box, or at our sister facility, CrossFit Fenway. Each week a new workout will be posted, and you’ll have the chance to test your fitness against everyone else in the world! It’s a really cool experience that is shared with the entire CrossFit community here in Boston.
How to register:
1) Go to www.games.crossfit.com
2) Create a username or sign in with the same one you used last year (if returning)
3) Select CrossFit Somerville as your training facility
4) To join our team just click ‘join a team’.
Any questions feel free to ask your coaches! This is a really exciting 5 weeks!

This Sunday, February 10th, the Atlantic State Open Weightlifting Championships are being held at North Shore CrossFit, located in Danvers, Ma. Ill be competing in the 69kg weight class that day. Come up and watch the action! It’s also a great opportunity to watch some awesome athletes in the Snatch and Clean and Jerk!

WOD: 8+3 Rx
Box jumps were getting tough during those last few rounds. Great showing by the 5:30am, which was awesome as usual.
SQUATTING.
WOD: 8 Rx. Came out of the gates blazing in round 1, then i was struggling to hang on to a pace. i don’t recommend that.

WOD: 6+9 RX. First time with a 1.5 and i’m happy I went for it. Also… FIRST TIME DOING BOX JUMPS IN LIKE FOEVAEVA yay!
7:30 was so much fun today! Everyone did awesome. & i’m so happy Aimee(?sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was there! it’s safe to say we partnered each other through everything and kept the motivation strong.

WOD: 7 + 11 Rx
The box jump/KB swing combo is so lethal…
PP: 100# and 105# for 1 both matched my previously set 2RM and 1RM, respectively
WOD: 10 & 9 @ 1 pd wanted to Rx but my 1.5 pood swings are shady – stronger thrusts may be something to work on. My speed can be attributed to Ice Cream Paint Job coming on. I started using my fingers to count reps so I could rap along. Good times..
