Better every day

Clean Pull 3-3-3-3-3

Your goal today is simple: Be better.

Be better in thought, in word, in deed. Be better at what you think, what you say, what you write, what you do.

Easy to say, harder to do. Or is it?

If you’re reading this, I’m betting that you want to be better. You are looking to improve. Whether you’re a CrossFitter or not, there is something in you that wants more of this life, that wants more of yourself. There’s some part of you that’s sick of the bullshit and the mediocrity and the “good enough” attitude that seems to pervade so much of this ridiculous world. There’s some part of you that wants to step out into the sunlight and tell the whiners to STFU, stop pointing at other people, and start saving themselves. As for you? Well, you already know you could be better; you’re just figuring out how to get there. Most importantly, you’re willing to do the work.

So step up your whole game today. I’m not asking for everything to be perfect — it never is. You’re going to mess up a shitton of stuff. Lifts will go bad, words will go wrong, mistakes will happen.

Just don’t accept them.

When you fail, try again. When you don’t even want to try, just try. When you want to spread anger into the world, think twice. Maybe that anger is really just you, mad at yourself. So, pick up the barbell and throw it down a bunch of times. Fuck up plates instead of fucking up people.

And life will get better … when you get better.

If you need a chuckle soo during clean pulls, I had an image of The Bruce Dickinson coaching Crossfit saying I need more hips, I need more hips! http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/80a71ef8cb/more-cowbell

Analogies from No Sleep KP = PRICELESS

Nice work 6:30! Woooooot to Mark and Mike getting their first TTBs today!!!!!

Wod: 8:06rx. I do love TTB and box jumps, but 75 reps was a lot of push pressing… woof. Would have preferred 15 TTB and 6 push presses.

Also, today was the first day I walked down the stairs from my apartment without cringing! My legs are coming back! And stronger than before, I’m sure. 🙂

Nice work today, 5:30. You guys rock.

    275# Clean Pull.

8:12 Rx. I think I could have had a better time if my box and bar were closer. Opposite of Olivia, I love push presses. Those were nice and easy, plus first time getting toes to bar unbroken. I had a great time with the 7:30 group and KP.

    I like these. They’re fun.

WOD: 5:54 (hanging knee tucks, 65#)
I really hope my shoulder is better by this weekend. I anticipate a pullup bar in 13.4…
