Stair Masters

Brian Hack | 04/29/2013 | 10

This past Sunday, a handful of our athletes raced up 46 stories, in support of a Charity cause for Wediko Children’s Services. The Climb for Hope was a great way to for the community to come together in support of this fantastic organization. A big thanks goes out to our very own Olivia Peters, who took the bull by the horns on this one and organized the CrossFit Somerville Team. Also, to Maralene, Jesse, Dave, Cal, Shorty, Dennis, Mandy, Rich, Bryon, who comprised the Somerville Squad. Not only did they take 1st in the Stair Climb, but they were also the number 1 fundraising team! Congratulations, guys, you make CrossFit Somerville very proud and I’m happy everyone had a great time!

(Don’t worry, Olivia, I really didn’t make that $23.47 donation )

    Hi CFSV!
I wanted to apologize for not being at the stair climb. I have had a lot of new things going on lately and I had another obligation that I could not get out of. I thought of you all and am in no way surprised that you guys took first! Olivia you did it in like 30 seconds, right? See you guys soon!

Press: #95 went down to create a better form and technique.

WOD: 11:14 RX with 30lb ball. DU’s were definitely my weak point in this wod, but forced myself to do them. Woof!

JT always a pleasure! Good Job 7:30am class!

    press: 135#
wod: 11:01 rx…calling my running slow would be offensive to slow runners

press: 80# – 5RM (5 strict presses is a lot in a row, btw! i think this is the first time i’ve done that pattern)

WOD: 10:59 @ DU, 14# ball, 95# power clean. running is the new rowing!

    Press: 135#
First time pressing this much since my shoulder and wrist injuries. I’m so glad these were pain-free.

    WOD: 9:47 (power cleans @ 135#, 30# ball)
My DUs were MIA today. Also, as I was running besides Nikki, you wouldn’t believe how many times I got honked at. WHAT NERVE!

  7. Renee says:

    Press 75# (then got 85# for 3 and 80# for 4) 5 reps is a lot.. Woof!

    WOD 11:57 @ 75#

I did doubles in this WOD for the first time ever. yes.

  8. damien says:

    Press: 115#, 4 reps @120#

    WOD: 8:55 Rx

  9. Amy says:

    Press: 75#
WOD: 10:55, 75lb PC/Singles/10lb BS (should of gone heavier on both)
