A second chance

We’re bringing back the 10 minute pull up challenge.  If you had the chance to do this last time, now’s the chance to use what you learned (and you additional strength) to add some reps from a few weeks ago.  If you remember what the experience was like, that’s great, but if you took great notes on how this went down you have an ever better chance of upping your score.  Scale the same as last time so you have an accurate base to measure progress.  Did you go out hard and fizzle fast?  Or did you still have some gas left in the tank when the timer reached zero?  See if you can adjust your strategy to maximize your returns.

STR:

AMRAP 10 strict pullups (see 1/17)

WOD:

21-15-9
back squats (95/65)
box jumps

finish each round of each movement with a 50′ box push (for a total of 6×50′ pushes)

Yay for more pictures of 5:30am-ers!

Did pistols instead of pull ups as I continue to nurse an elbow tendonitis. Stopped counting around 65 in minute 6…

Wod: 6:42 @ 65# taking the bar from the rack. BOY did I feel those pistols in the first round of box jumps… actually tipped my box down from 24″ to 20″. My legs were lead.

Pullups: 44 Rx (up from 40 last time)

    WOD: 7:50 I think with 75#, 24″

Nothing like burpee box jumps to warm up. Do I look like a cat to you? Am I jumpin’ around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree?

Pullups: 53 with a green and red band – 10 more than last time \o/.

WOD: 9:53 with 45# and 20″ step ups. Because, like Ben, those burpee box jumps were So not nimbly bimbly, more like numbly bumbly. Better for the workout, I did some 16″ box jumps afterward just to remind myself they’re truly possible.

Great work all around from the 7:30 crew!

    Strength: ~45 pull ups RX
Started out doing two pull ups every 20 secs (6 total per min) and that lasted about halfway through. Then I did singles (sometimes doubles again) sporadically til the end.

    WOD: 7:35 RX (24″)
I felt like I had a good training pace and stuck to it. Step downs cause of my shitty ankles.

    I’m back!

    Pull ups: 34

    WOD: 8:16 Rx

“Our warm up is your work out” very true when KP needs pain meds…

  6. Donne says:

    PU: 30 (green)

    WOD: 7:27 (55#, step ups)

12 pull ups more than last time, palm facing me for strict was easier. Couldn’t jump for my life after squatting and box push.

    Nice work 7pm peeps!
