The quintessential CrossFit workout: Fran.  So simple on paper, but when done right, so so nasty.  We’ve been spending a lot of time recently working on improving the pieces of this (our pull up strength, front squat positioning and even Thursday’s push press recovery work) so today you should feel ready to tear into this classic CrossFit girl.  But of course, only after PRing your front squat. =)

IMPORTANT PARKING INFO: The city has asked us to participate in Better Block, a collaborative art project re-imagining the neighborhood.  Parking will be somewhat restricted, so prepare to park on Newton or Emerson or one of the other many places to park nearby for classes on Friday/Saturday.

    FS: 105# PR. I forgot to check what it was at the beginning of this cycle, but it’s definitely improved lately, yay!

    Fran: 8:09 with 45# thrusters and green and blue band pullups. I think that’s slightly better than both of my Frans from last May’s paleo challenge, so I’ll take it.

    WOD: 8:11, blue band & 45lbs, weight felt good but my pull-ups fell apart

    Compared to 6:01 (with blue and red band & 35lb thrusters) on 9/15
