And now for something a completely different… Today, we’ll be finding a 20 rep max high bar back squat. Â While this will certainly test our strength and endurance, the true test here is between the ears. Â If the weight is right, you legs will be screaming, your heart will be racing and the only thing keeping you going will be the voice in your head. Â It’s up to you to choose to keep going. Â Let’s see what you’re capable of.
STR:
High Bar Backsquat
20 rep max!
Warm up your squats for 5-8 minutes and take no more than two attempts at a 20 rep max back squat. This is all mental.
WOD:
3 rounds
1 minute ME pull ups
1 minute ME burpees
1 minute ME push press (75/55)
1 minute rest
*score is total number of reps

My legs have gotten increasingly ornery over the course of the day. Sick workout, bro.
Strength: my 1rm is 220#, 3rm #185. 1st set of 20r @ 135#. Went spicier for 2nd set of 20r @ 150#.
Wod: 124 (40, 41, 43) w red band, 55#. Burpees or bust!
