Today marks the end of our current programming cycle.  We’ve gone through all of our girls, so we’ll be hitting a mainsite WOD and an oly drill.  Both will offer us one more chance to keep our focus on being punchy and explosive.  The clean pull has the added challenge of stabilizing the weight in good position with it just inches off of the floor before we explode through the rest of our first pull.  The WOD has us cleaning and jerking, both of which are most effective when we are punchy and fast but tend to lose their power as we tire.  Even though we’re going for as many reps as we can crank out, treat each rep like an individual lift.  Continuing to be punchy, while seemingly harder, will fatigue your smaller muscle groups less over the 12 minutes and allow you to get more work done.  Have fun, friends, and get ready for a new cycle starting Monday!
