The Chief

Kirstie Young | 01/03/2017 | 5

To get things started we’ll practice putting weight overhead in the form of a push press. Next, we have The Chief, a longer workout overall but the work is broken up into a series of 3 min AMRAPs. The rest in between is there so you can come back strong into your next AMRAP.

Just be aware those air squats will catch up with you. Stay in the best form you can manage and don’t let them sneak up on you.

Strength:
Push Press
x5

WOD:
The Chief
5 rounds
AMRAP 3
3 Power cleans (135/95)
6 Push-ups
9 Air squats
*Rest 1 minute.

PARTY!

We’re almost through the holidays, but the party is just starting!  Beat the post holiday blues and join us for our anniversary/holiday party at CrossFit Somerville!  Saturday, January 14th from 6-10:00 pm, we’ll enjoy holiday music and dancing.  Plenty of food and drink will be had.  All are welcome!  See the event here.

All was well until round 3. After that, I was just trying to survive rounds 4 and 5
