Overhead Squats and a Chipper

6pm class killin it

Today we are learning to Overhead Squat; the last in the foundational movements of squatting. We’ve learned how to squat with no weight at all, with weight on our backs, weight on our friendly front rack position, and now we learn how to control it when it is directly above us.

We are going to mobilize the hell out of our shoulders and hips, to ensure stability overhead and as we descend into the bottom of our squat. This is the slowest and most technical lift there is, so come ready to work!

Strength: OHS 3-3-3-3-3

WOD:

20 situps
20 Ring rows
20 Thrusters
20 Ring rows
20 Situps
