Skills Night

Brian Hack | 01/31/2012 | 5

Our very first Skills Night will take place tonight at 7pm. It will run about an hour long so please show up promptly as we will be getting started  right away to assure for ample time performing drills and a mini-WOD at the end of class! As mentioned before, this will NOT count towards one of your classes in your membership. Think of these Skills Nights as homework. If you feel like you need the work I hope to see you here!

P.S. If you are competing in the NewFitter Throwdown @ Commonwealth CrossFit, please stick around after class. I will be going over what you can expect the day of, go over range of motion standards and answer any questions you may have come Game Day!

STRENGTH: Snatch Balance 1-1-1-1-1-1

WOD:

3 Rounds

300m Row

25 Thrusters (45#/35#)

10 Pullups

REMINDER: We will be running 1 class on Saturday mornings for now on. This class will be at 10am. If you have any trouble signing up for it let me know, but things should be all set now and you should see it on your Calendar when you sign into your account.

60# Snatch Balance – absolutely had more in me, but I was in slow motion this morning and have a weird hip thing going on. (I actually just called my chiropractor and will be popping in to see her during lunch today just in case)

15:45 WOD, 35# and blue-band-kippies. Chasing Marcus in the morning is brutal, haha. I need to start picking more appropriately-scaled targets to compete with. 😉

I didn’t even lose any of my teeth during the thrusters! I expect that I have used my daily allotment of victories already, however, I will be back tonight for further funtimes and for newbie-fitter-team-time-happiness. <3

aww! <3 I thoroughly enjoy your company in the mornings, too!! My next before-work-meeting is in 2 weeks, so it'll be a little while – but I'll be seeing you again soon!

did lots of work on snatch balance today, worked up to 50# and MAYBE will be more consistent with fixed bad habits.

wod: 12:19 Rx. thrusters are really terrible no matter what the weight is. lynn i’m glad you kept all your teeth! those thrusters are vicious!
