If you have already signed up, or plan to, for the CrossFit Open there are a few more things in terms of logistics that you should know:
1) Please email me so I have your contact info. I will be creating an email chain for those competing so that I can keep you updated on the where’s and when’s of competition day.
2) Once registered please join CrossFit Somerville.
3) CrossFit Somerville will be sharing hosting duties along with our friends at CrossFit Fenway. The workout that shows up will determine where we perform it at.
If you have any other questions regarding competition don’t hesitate to ask.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: CrossFit Somerville will be closed on President’s Day, this Monday February 20th.
No 5:30am class today, but the 6:30am wake-up crew did a great job working their Overhead Squats!
If you aren’t going to make it, please do your fellow members a courtesy and cancel out of class the night before! Sometimes this week the 6:30 class looks booked full the night before, but by the morning there are only 6 or 7 (or 3) people in it! I’d be sad if someone missed out on a WOD because it looked full the night before.
So please be nice to them and cancel out if you’re unsure – you can always jump back to it if you wake up in the morning – or be nice to yourself and make it in for the WOD!
Sorry about that. I woke up pretty nauseous, and not the good kind.
There’s a good kind of nauseous?
Don’t sweat it, Paul. Sick days happen.
OHS: 85# PR – but still need LOTS of work on this
WOD: 10:27 – knees to elbows fell apart after 1 or 2, the rest was rx.
OHS- 90# PR Feels like 100# is around the corner
WOD: 6:58. still with box step ups. I also comment kate who can move the 1.5 pood. I went in ready to move that thing even if the WOD took me a day and a half. Was told to step down,my movements were sad.
soon.
awesome OHS! you’ll be rocking the 1.5 pood soon enough; slow, steady progress with good form is smart…at least that’s what I tell myself 🙂 [says the person who took almost 2 years to get a pullup]
it’s OK – I can’t move the 1.5 either (yet!). It just means more victories in our future! <3
