It’s the people that make gyms like ours work.  Each one of you brings your own flair and spice to what makes up CrossFit Somerville.  While we all follow the same programming for the most part, we’re all in different places and have different challenges and strengths.  Today’s WOD offers us the opportunity to choose a movement that will help us embrace that which challenges us to help us work towards whatever goals we have.  Rx is your choice of upper body pushing movement – whatever you  need to work on most.  The reps are low each round, so give yourself the chance to try something harder than you might normally.

STR:

high bar back squat

4-4-4-4-4 @90% of 1rm

WOD:

AMRAP 7
10 cal row
3 gymnastic push movement (hardest possible)

    Oy. Almost didn’t come in – wasn’t exactly on top of my game.

    HBBS – 1rm is 185# x .9 = 167

    4x: 35#, 85#, 105#, 135#, 155#, 170#, 170#, 170#, 170#(-failed on rep 4), 165#

    My form was not great my right knee kept coming in then I’d have to force it back out.

    I thought that this would work out well as I made it through 10×3 at 170# and again 175# in August. And without the leg thing happening. I think I should have warmed up my hips more today and that I could definitely try this again on a day I’m less tired.
