No time to mess around…
Snatch balances are a great drill for working on getting under the bar fast in a snatch. Today, we’ll be giving even more incentive to move fast for this lift by attaching it to the clock. The EMOM nature of our lifting today will limit our weight a bit, but allow us to focus on speed and stability that we’ll be able to immediately practice in an EMOM of another kind…
STR:
EMOM 10
3 snatch balance
WOD:
AMRAP 12
5 HSPU
10 pistols
15 ttb
*EMOM 1 (full) snatch (135/95)

WOD: 1+20 @ shoulder taps, 135 (one round where I failed my snatch attempts)
If we’re being honest here, this was EMOM snatch with a bit of moving about in between. Probably not how it was intended.
STR: 35#. I still struggle to get under with the bar overhead. I did feel more comfortable after today’s workout.
WOD: 4+11. Pike PushUps, Pistols w/plate and 5# db for balance, TTB
Since we’re being honest, for the first two rounds I did 10 TTB until I realized I should have been doing 15 per round.
