Your coaches draw up these workouts from our own years of experience and we put a lot of thought into the programming you do. We also spend time doing them ourselves to try out some of the concepts that are less time-tested and make sure they’re going to provide the stimulus we want.
Today’s WOD is one of those that we got together and tested… and when we got done, we said “hey, this would be a great way to get ready for those back squats!” It’s a fun one, but the movement pattern can take a while to really get familiar with enough to attack it with speed. (No surprise that Nick was the fastest finisher when we tested it.)
So this Monday we’ll be spending some of the warmup exploring how to get down, up, and over an obstacle – and then hitting the workout before the strength. You’ll be plenty limber and warmed up well for some big back squat sets, no matter how cold it is outside. Come on in and get your 2017 started the best way possible – with some squats and a great workout among friends!
