  1. BRODOWN!

I’m sure what Nick meant to say was “I’m excited for bench press, and this chance to bond with my fellow athletes.” -Edit by JT
    😉

bench: 90#, which matches a PR. I wasn’t feeling confident today after working on ring dips yesterday, so I’m actually surprised I hit 90.

WOD: 14:09 Rx (115#). that was 14:09 of awfulness. Rowing KILLS me and it was so sloooowwwww today. I was at least able to go unbroken on dead lifts, but my box jumps sucked because my hamstrings weren’t firing after dead lifts. generally, not good.

    bench: 205×3, pr (215×1)
the only thing that would have made this morning more perfect would have been driving home in a camero.

  4. Shorty says:

Bench: 165# Should have gone a bit higher but haven’t done this in a while.

WOD: 11:25 Rx. 18 secs of my PR. Legs just could not get ready for those box jumps this morning. Super slow. Great job 5:30am!

  5. cmliu says:

awww, you GUYS! this tribute so flattering! 😉

Bench: 105# PR 3RM. got ambitious with jumping straight to 115# (1RM). next time i’ll edge up with the smaller plates. thanks amy for being spotter extraordinaire.

WOD: 15:44 @ 145# Rx. unbroken sets is a total mental game! i totally compartmentalized this workout as a 3-course meal: a vigorous though slightly tedious appetizer (chips and dip?), a totally indulgent main course (steak frites! fried chicken! shrimp ‘n’ grits! get ‘er done!), and then eating dessert even though you’re already full (so… many… cakes). anyone with me? (…anyone?)

    • I love your posts more and more every day. This is perfect in lieu of the foodie crawl that was to be today and is now postponed.

O.o ! good job today. Food was the last thing I could think about before, during, and after your WOD.. it was more like, you can go back to sleep, just finish! haha

    165 x 3. 185 with a tiny bit of assistance for last 3 sets.

I don’t like Christine we are not friends, it was tough. 14:33. I feel it now so I know I will be walking funny tomorrow. 12PM was good today.

  7. damien says:

    Bench: 185#, matches previous PR.

WOD: 13:16, not too happy with the time, but I’m no in rush to do that one again.

This was also the first time in a while I went in the morning. I’m giving it one more chance on Thursday, but waking up that early was brutal.

I wish I had like buttons on here. I <3 all of everyone's comment posts.

When I go to cross fit I say, “I’m going to practice.” It’s kind of this weird habit I have, but I think it’s an interesting way of thinking about it. Anyway, last night, I looked at this WOD and said, “HELL NO.” Then, I told myself to woman up and just do it. It’s just practice. You gotta practice the stuff you suck at.

Yosh asked if I weighed 8 pounds, which means I did around 10 times more than the RX weight. I went 13:50, which I’m not happy about. But I’m glad I did it.

Thank you, Nick for doing a brodown with me post WOD. (BE JEALOUS “BROS.”) I did around 4 legitimate muscle ups on the bar.

Bench 100# PR city baby – Rebecca thank you for cheering me on it was awesome to work with you!

WOD = 13:08 – that one rocked me! I couldn’t dead my body weight to a level that Yosh found acceptable (ie – unbroken for 12) so I deaded my goal weight (psh.. I kid… kinda)

  11. Brian says:

Bench: 155# I could totally bench more than that in high school. And yet I’m not really upset about that at all.

    WOD: 9:30 Rx.

  12. Mad mike says:

    BP: 225#
    WOD: 15:58 with 225# (BW 245#)
