Fiery Weekend, and 1RM Deadlift

I hope you all had a restful and relaxing weekend. I had a whole lot of fun, and even got to perform with some of my friends at the Ignite! street festival in Union Square on Saturday night.

The Somerville Arts Council teamed up with local restaurants and the Boston Circus Guild to bring the festival (formerly known as Hungry Tiger Night Market) back to Union Square for another year. It was a blast – and if you hung around late enough then you got to see why I call this business “Firebreathers Fitness”.

I love this festival and have been glad to be a part of it for the last three years. I saw some of you out there and love the community we’re building and joining here.

Today’s workout is a set of short sprints – go all out on these runs, as you’ve got rest after each round. The WOD itself is pretty short, to give you plenty of time to work up to your 1 Rep Max on your Deadlift.

    WOD: 6:34 Rx, this was a fun one other than when I almost got hit by a car, almost ran over a cat, and almost fell off the box after the second set of box jumps.

    It was awesome to see new faces at 6:30.
