The end of a cycle
To end this cycle, we’ll be maxing out our split jerk and doing a fun little cuplet of squats and running. Β It will be a good chance to test not only how much control we’ve been building overhead but also how well we’re acclimating to the amount of running that we’re seeing. Β Quick hint: there will be plenty more of this to come in the warmer months.
Stay tuned for the next cycle (starting Monday). Β We’ll be seeing some more deliberate opportunities to test and then retest workouts to give us some metrics to measure improvement.

200m Run
Split Jerk: 105#. Total bummer.
WOD: 7:39, Rx
Split Jerk 125# PR!!!! π I have room to grow here when I gain more stability in the split. Nick instructed me to train the “strict split press” – amazingly, one week ago today, Ben and I were joking about this exact movement… as if it had no training purpose whatsoever… π
WOD 7:37 Rx
STR:
Split Jerk @ 115# PR. That last attempt was not pretty but I got it up.
WOD:
7:18 @ 1.5pd
STR: 205# (PR by 20#) with so much time. Like, well into the 7pm class. Skipped WOD.
split jertk: 245#. I should probably be happy with this, but am not.
